Harvest Moon®: Echoes of Teradea Prologue walkthrough
Last updated 2026-10-18. Checked against the sources below.
The prologue includes two visits to Wolf Hill, not just the first wolf chase. After taking the farm, you receive the DocPad, return with Dandy, meet Tiny, and learn about Power Statues, Happilia, livestock, mail, and crafting before Bloomfield Chapter 1.
Steps
- Wake up. Your childhood friend shows you the farm. The mayor gives you the town farm and you measure soil with Soilbot.
- Pick up the Handmade Hoe and Handmade Watering Can. Till, plant, water, and fertilize once so the tutorial closes.
- Talk to the villagers. Jane tells you the wilds are dangerous. The mayor is getting a gift ready.
- Follow the red icon on the minimap to the southwest entrance of Bloomfield and meet your friend.
- The job is wild strawberries for a cake, because it is Kat’s birthday. The patch is on Wolf Hill, which the town treats as off limits.
- Walk Spring Breeze Crossroads and pick wild mushrooms on the way. Cross Spring View Bridge. A wolf encounter teaches you to crouch in the grass.
- Pick the strawberries on Wolf Hill. After dark a giant wolf appears. Drop down the Jump-off Point — the red flag marks a cliff you can only descend.
- Return through Bloomfield’s west entrance. Jane discovers the outing; the berries were lost during the escape. This is not the end of the prologue.
- The next morning, visit Mayor Doug at Village Hall on Old Bloomfield Road. Receive the DocPad, then deliver his cloth to your friend at the Animal Center.
- William teaches you to befriend his dog Dandelion (Dandy), whose bark calms wolves. Return to Wolf Hill with Dandy and collect more strawberries.
- Investigate the voice at a statue and give a strawberry to the Tiny Harvest Goddess. Return to town for Kat’s cake and receive the Old Axe and Old Pickaxe from Doug.
- Investigate the glowing Power Statue in Bloomfield Park for a Power Wisp Fruit. Tiny explains Happilia, which fills regional bottles while you sleep.
- The next morning, name the calf in the repaired barn and receive the Pitchfork, Old Sickle, Brush, Clippers, and Milker. Continue the mail, workbench, and Photo Mode tutorials.

Why the cliff matters later
Jump-off Points stay one-way for the rest of the game. Video Chums calls that out as a real limit on exploration. If you drop, you need a path, a mount, or a warp statue to get back up. The prologue is the tutorial for that rule.
Source checks
fogu’s full prologue was checked over HTTP on 18 October 2026. Its second half names the DocPad, Old Axe, Old Pickaxe, calf, and livestock tools. This is a sourced walkthrough summary, not a claim of an in-house playthrough.
