Harvest Moon®: Echoes of Teradea Beginner guide: the first week

The mayor hands you the town farm. Your childhood friend hands you a Handmade Hoe and a Handmade Watering Can and shows you Soilbot, tilling, watering, and fertilizer. The mistake Video Chums sees most often is trying to clear the forest mist before you walk out the south exit.

What not to grind

Video Chums recommends completing each region’s first chapter before tackling later chapters. RPGamer says dating opens after the credits, but friendship through conversation, gifts, and requests can develop during the story. Early character interaction is useful even when a wedding is not yet available.

Source checks

I rebuilt this checklist by lining up three write-ups that agree: fogu’s prologue, Video Chums’ beginner article, and LadiesGamers’ first-week tips. Where they disagree, I left the point out. Crop prices are the big hole. No source I opened published a profit table, so this page has no “plant this for the most gold” row.
