Harvest Moon®: Echoes of Teradea Tidewind Chapter 1: The Ferry Braving the Rough Seas

Rescue Aaron’s father Art by repairing the boat, proving your fishing skill, reaching Tornado Island, catching the guardian Nera, and restoring her Spirit Tree. Mara helps with the rescue; her father is Barq, not Art.
What the chapter asks
- Help retrieve the bottle for Kukri, Rune, and Mara. Art, Aaron’s father, is stranded. Mara’s parents are Shima and Barq.
- Visit Shima at the Remote Island Information Center before 18:00. Learn about the guardian on Breezy Island, now called Tornado Island.
- Gather 8 Palm Square Lumber, 6 Coconut, and 3 Manure. Cut the Tidewind palms after you shake them. Manure comes from barn animals.
- Buy Priya’s 300 G all-day Fishing Zone pass. Reach 300 points to impress Barq; fish caught in this competition cannot be kept.
- After the repairs, speak to Barq at the information center and sail to Tornado Island. Follow the lit torches to the southwest pond and activate its warp statue.
- Catch the sparkling guardian fish to meet Nera. Ragworm or Worm bait helps. The guide describes resisting the fish with the stick and reeling only when it stops struggling; button labels depend on platform.
- Recover the Sprummer Island Nautical Chart from the silver chest on the cliffs behind the pond’s warp statue. Take the side path around the island and return the chart to Shima.
- Fill the Tidewind Happilia bottle through village interactions and requests, then sleep. Use the bottle on the withered island Spirit Tree. Nera clears the storms, and Barq brings Art home using the corrected chart.
What comes after, without pretending it is this chapter
Once Art is home, his crafter shop will trade an Expert Fishing Rod for 1 Old Fishing Rod, 3 Bronze, 3 Iron, and 2000 G. fogu describes this upgrade in the Snowy Tundra interlude. It is not a prerequisite for catching Nera or rescuing Art.
