Harvest Moon®: Echoes of Teradea Yes, you can marry any gender
Last updated 2026-10-18. Checked against the sources below.
Same-sex romance is in Harvest Moon®: Echoes of Teradea. fogu’s line is that players can marry any candidate regardless of the protagonist’s gender. The exception is yourself: Robert or Carol, whichever one you are playing, is not a candidate.
Who is available
| If you play | Bachelors you can marry | Bachelorettes you can marry |
|---|---|---|
| Robert | Aaron, Bryce, Sergei, Hank | Carol, Jane, Mara, Shirley, Lorelei |
| Carol | Robert, Aaron, Bryce, Sergei, Hank | Jane, Mara, Shirley, Lorelei |
That is 9 people either way. No source describes a separate yuri or BL event track.

What is still unknown
The candidate profiles now list guide-sourced heart-event triggers, and the romance hub gives the reported Token of Love and proposal requirements. Full dialogue scripts and post-marriage scenes are not verified here. Marriage requires completion of the main story. If you play Carol, the eligible base-game bachelorettes are Jane, Mara, Shirley, and Lorelei: four, not five, because Carol is your own character. If you play Robert, the eligible base-game bachelors are Aaron, Bryce, Sergei, and Hank.
Source checks
The HM16 guide on fogu explicitly allows marriage regardless of the protagonist’s gender. Its protagonist rule is equally explicit: the character you did not choose becomes a candidate. Robert cannot marry Robert, and Carol cannot marry Carol; the other nine names remain eligible. This does not rely on marriage rules from Story of Seasons, which is a different series.
